Did Chris Read run over Duncan Fletcher's dog?

Or do something equally horrific to warrant his current treatment?

Played well in Caribbean 2004 before losing his place to Geraint Jones unfairly.

Brought back for the final 2 Tests agaisnt Pakistan and performed fantastically and got the biggest cheer of the day when he reached fifty - batting with the tail and Monty!

Easily the best guy behind the stumps and given Jones terrible showing so far in the Ashes, do you think he should be back in for the final two Tests of this series?

On current form yeah Read should be playing. They should have played him in perth but i rate Jones aswell he is just very low on confidence.we still would not have won this series if Read had played all of the games.even if we had Tresco,Vaughan and S.Jones i doubt we would have won because of our preperation

seems very strange, also strange that Jones is a selector for the team - something aint right. .......anyway its too late now ratface and his ugly army have got the urn
I agree with your opinion I think they should bring Vaughn back as the captain also
I think it was Fletcher's son he ran over - twice. I thought Jones looked in pretty good form when making his two zeros.
read is better then jones
How can anybody with a name like Geraint Jones play for England ? Chris Read is by far the better keeper and batsman. Fletcher should resign, Englishmen should coach English Teams. The whole squad should be ashamed at the way they rolled over and let the aussies trounce them. This is what happens when you take a team of physically semi - fit, and mentally unfit players to the other side of the world to play arguably the best cricket team in the world. We were beaten before we boarded the plane at Heathrow !!!!
I AGREE.!!!
Just internal politics with this Fletcher character. Sack him and they should do better!!
